Boost Cash Flow + Reduce Tax Burden w/ Cost Segregation

Presentation by Hazem Tawfik, Senior Project Engineer | Cost Recovery Solutions LLC 

The goals of cost segregation are to:

  • Reclassify a significant portion of depreciable assets of commercial properties (including residential rentals) to shorter tax recovery periods (personal property and land improvements)
  • Accelerate depreciation deductions to save tax dollars now rather than later
  • Reduce corporate and individual income taxes
  • Improve cash flow

The tax savings provided to investors through cost segregation studies can significantly increase their return on investment and enable them to reinvest in new projects.

BIO - Hazem Tawfik works as a senior project engineer for Cost Recovery Solutions LLC (CRS), a premier firm specializing in cost segregation, energy tax services and tangible asset valuation since 2004. A graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Hazem is dedicated to optimizing project performance and delivering exceptional results to clients. Hazem’s comprehensive experience enables him to effectively use CRS’ engineering-based methodology to lower clients’ tax liability and improve their return on investment. Hazem is also an active member of the American Society of Cost Segregation Professionals (ASCSP), an organization dedicated to ensuring quality and ethical standards in the industry. This association allows him to stay at the forefront of industry advancements, exchange insights with fellow experts, and contribute to the development of best practices in cost segregation.
