Deborah Nye - Investor, Landlord, Designer, Rehabber, Realtor.
First an investor, then an agent, Deborah Nye bought her first investment property in 2008. The property was a 2BR small row house that needed total renovation. After completing it pretty quickly with few problems, Deborah continued to purchase and renovate and worked her way up to large multi-unit buildings. She prides herself on developing relationships, giving back, and being a “decent” landlord.
Joining DIG (part of a national real estate investment association) in 2008, Deborah has been active in helping new investors achieve success, and was the former leader of one of the “subgroups”. She occasionally runs the “break out” group “Getting Started” at the beginning of the DIG main meetings and has expanded her teaching to include Main Line School Night and other investing groups.
Deborah says, “I knew how to lay tile, paint, and scrape wallpaper by the time I was 13", having grown up with her dad renovating their houses while they lived in them. A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, Nye continues, "I'm all those HGTV shows rolled into one, something my clients, friends and colleagues appreciate". Whether it be the layout and design of a property, or the financial aspects of a transaction, Deborah has the ability to "think way outside the box". She invests using the theory of "less properties higher yield" and will help you learn to "have a goal, build a team, and take action!"
